Post number 1

This is a tune by Hudson Mohawke(if you don't know - educate yourself) from an old mixtape he did before the world knew who he was, it was called Hudson's Heeter's which you'll be able to find with a quick google search. This is my favourite tune from the mixtape, hope you enjoy.

Amongst being an outlet to use for whatever I'm interested in and thinking about whenever I post, this is mainly a project by myself to explore various strands of music from all corners of the internet. One thing that's always interested me is music that has disappeared - this particularly happened in the 70's/80's/90's where there were alot of songs that never made the cut from vinyl to cd and seems to be happening now and songs seem to be dissipating into the vast chasm which is the internet.

This idea of music which has been locked in time is something which I have a particular interst in, it is, in a sense an artform which becomes timeless, but only so by those who discover it. I am firm believer in the fact that with things like wikipedia, music knowledge - as it was once known - is no longer in existence. It only takes one google search to find out anything about most artists who have graced a recording studio. This might seem like a total ramble but it is something which I hope will shed some light on subsequent posts in my blog.

So bear with me as I trawl the internet for the golden nuggets that the rest of the world has left behind...
